I like healthy eating. Nothing extremist like paleo or the raw food diet - but I like filling up on fruit and vegetables and knowing that they will get me through the things I need to do, when I need to do them. I try to avoid heavily processed foods, or those with lots of numbers on the back, but occasionally I won't be able to resist them.
I think it would be easy to fall into the trap that is the world of processed food. It's easy, accessible and lasts almost forever. How fantastic? Not so much.
Two things help me to avoid all that crap in plastic and foil packaging (I won't even start on packaging within packaging!).
1. I love to experimental cooking; and
2. My Sunday morning ritual involves a walk to the vege market a twenty dollar note and trek back with a heavy load.
Because I eat good food most of the time, I don't feel serious guilt at having had Weetbix for dinner four nights this week so far. There are always those weeks...
Followed by a good smoothie: kiwifruit, parsley, lemon and green tea.
